Bluetooth headsets are not fashionable

Bluetooth headsets are “bling” for boring people: tacky ornamentation that serves no purpose (if you aren’t on the phone, having the thing in your ear serves no purpose), and which only shows the people around you how little taste you have.

It’s the exact opposite of “fashion“.

Not that fashion is all that great a concept to begin with.

    Of course if you have to keep fishing the blue tooth out of your pocket when you get a call, then it loses a bit of its effectiveness. Fortunately I don’t have that many calls on my cell phone yet but if I did I could see wearing one especially since I drive for a living.

    If you are driving, it is perfectly reasonable to be wearing a bluetooth earpiece. I am talking about people who are walking around, having conversations, and their hands are not occupied with something important like controlling a multi-ton projectile at freeway speeds.
